Having been brought up in rural Derbyshire with fields, farms and allotments as his playground, it was inevitable that driving a desk for work just wouldn't cut it! Techniscapes was founded by Rich in 2014 after 7 years of joinery and landscaping for other companies.
During this time, he was lucky enough to work in some of the most prestigious national landmarks and sporting venues, laying and maintaining pitches, grounds and memorial parks within the UK. As great as all this was, Rich really wanted to be involved with projects on a more personal level, from start to finish - welcome to the start of Techniscapes.
Having the same rural start in neighbouring Leicestershire, Becky spent her time growing veg, foraging and exploring around her friend's farm.
Fast forward to working life with office-based roles within the construction sector, Becky first met Rich in 2014 whilst working for a local natural stone supplier.
A 2016 birthday celebration, a mutual love of fishing, cooking and tequila's [not necessarily in that order!]... and three years later we're a 2.2 [fur] baby family with an ever expanding veg patch and a passion to create individual, useable garden spaces.
Together, we run Techniscapes from home with the support of a fantastic team of additional tradespeople who take care of everything from building walls, bespoke wooden structures, provide lighting and garden plumbing services.
As a business, we very much appreciate that we don't all like the same styles and we don't all use our gardens in the same way. Let 'us' be a part of your garden journey in creating something special, for you!
